Final day in Boston

So even though it was a week ago, I will add our last day. A most amazing thing happened the glorious Saturday morning...the kids did not awake until almost 8am. What a special morning for us all. We woke up and went down to breakfast at the "Artbar" at the hotel. It was very nice and relaxing. Then we packed up checked out and walked by the river over to the science museum.

The science museum was awesome! There was so much exciting stuff there and the kids had a great time. We didn't take tons of pictures as we were having fun moving about (and we didn't really have free hands).


This is a kinetic sculpture in the lobby area of the museum. It was quite mesmorizing to watch.


There was a whole room of things in a place called "Mathematica" and this was one of the many things Nathan enjoyed. It demonstrated probability on a curve or something. There is probably more too it than that, but that is the abridged version. He also took lots of pictures himself with his camera about proportions and projection that he found interesting.


Maddie thoroughly enjoyed going to the moon, but only with her brother. We went back several times but she didn't want more than 4 kids on the journey apparently. I guess the shuttle is a bit small for more.


This was part of the electricity room. Again lots of cool stuff and a neat demonstration, though I didn't get to see all of it as I was in the computer room next door with Maddie. It gets kind of noisy with lightening and all that going on.


They had a whole discovery area for younger kids that was a couple floors. Maddie and I spent a little time there playing in the water and she really loved sticking her head up through these little bubble things. There were all different habitats to explore.

We had a great trip. Funny that Madeline was asking to go home on and off the whole time. When it finally was time to go home we told her and she said "but what are we going to do next after we are home?" She is something else. She loves to be out doing stuff all the time. We had a great drive home and Maddie finally took her long needed nap in the car which made it a pleasant drive for all. I really love road trips and am glad that our kids seem to enjoy them too.
